Tour Update, vol. 1: Rules of the Road

Welcome to the first installment of the official Big Digits Tour Diary. We are currentl in a cafe in Washington DC awaiting the opening of the club and the arrival of the awesome Hott Beat and hometown pal Donna Parker (who's record we saw featured prominately and written gushingly about in a record show in Philly).
It is the third day of tour and we have already learned some valuable lessons. Firstly, when picking a touring vehicle be sure to choose something that has at least a cassette player, we unfortunately do not. Living with only the radio, while taking us back to a nostalgic time, is kind of hell, so we decided to start playing some games to keep ourselves from losing our mind scanning through every station in Delaware. Here are our rules, so far (this should be a developing story throughout the tour):

20 minutes of local AM talk radio must be heard in every state
Every Bruce Springsteen song must be listened to until its conclusion
No Eric Clapton ever
No Canadians

The first couple of shows were fun, New York w/Fur Cups For Teeth and More Teeth (who we hadn't heard beofre but now want to hear/see again) were a blast and lead to a too late night but got our cd into Eat Records a great record shop in Greenpoint. This left me a bit tired for Philly, but we pressed onto Sal's and had a decent time with a bunch of Mac's old friends (including this girl). That brings us to where we sit now.

No pictures yet, in our rush to get out of town I forgot the USB cable needed to get the pictures from my camera to the laptop, hopefully this will be remedied by Baltimore (and then you will see all the great pictures I've taken of other cars on the highway). Anyway thanks to everybody who has put us up so far and Mark E. Moon and UV Karen (who should post on this blog about the upcoming mini-UV/Gossip tour) for the baked goods. That is all.
