Honorary 440r: Part II

Since Mr. Moon has brought up the topic of freaking amazing videos, I've stumbled across a couple TV appearances by the Aussie electro power pop oufit known as T.I.S.M. (This is serious, mum), who's outfits call to mind designs by a certain UVKaren. Each involve two things Marky and myself have talked about over the years as optimal performance elements to be added to any Digits or Plunge show: an air-filled Crazy Castle complete with kids jumping on it, and people doing aerobic workouts (T-Digits knows a thing or two about this methinks.)

Check it out: (both in .avi format from the veritable mongolivedave.com)

TISM - What Are Ya?

TISM - Thunderbirds are coming out

[both videos were shot on a tv show in 1998]

Archival Big Digits Video Found

here.

OK, not really, but this web-site, which appears to be some sort of video production company, has some awesome live footage of local Boston bands from back in the day. N.E.S.T. 1982?

Por ejemplo:

Human Sexual Response, "What Does Sex Mean Do Me?" (1982, Streets, Boston):

Mission of Burma, "Peking Spring" [The Space, Boston, 1979]

and even national bands playing in boston:

The Cure, "Fire in Cairo" [The Underground Club, Boston, 1980]

Buzzcocks, "What Do I Get?" [The Bradford Hotel, Boston, 1980]

Know your history.
