Despite Your Best Efforts, You Cannot Stop All This From Happening...

Holy shit, i know last week was N.E.S.T. and everybody got their year's worth of rockin' crammed into one week, but the revelry shall not stop. Tons of awesome shows coming up this week, that yall should know about.

Starting wednesday with Musk, which has a sensational line-up of live talent. Cathy Cathodic spearheads the bill, bolstered by Natasha (girlie girl teen rap from North Carolina) and Health. Health is regarded by many in the Los Angeles underground scene to be the best new band in the area. Their sound is at once tribal and urban, rhythmic and spazzy, electronic but earthy, weird but understandable. Gothic chanting hovers above the thump thump thumping on the floor tom, whilst guitar freakouts cycle thru several effects pedals, interjecting with decisive passion. Fans of Neptune and Ho-Ag should definitely check this out.

The semi-annual IRON POUR in the Mass Art courtyard returns on friday. For those not familiar, Iron Pour is an event hosted by the Iron Guild at Massachusetts College of Art, wherein live music, sculpture, and molten iron come together for a raucous occasion. (more info here)
This semester's event will feature the music of Big Digits, Bread & Roses, and one other yet-to-be-announced special band. It'll run from 6pm to 9pm-ish outside in the courtyard. This event is all ages, $7 will get you in, and of course it's close to halloween, so costumes are encouraged but not necessary.

And finally, Saturday the 28th marks the one and only halloween appearance for the lovable zombies that make up Z.W.A. They will perform at an event called "Bloodfeast" at Machine in Boston. Bloodfeast has been organized by a Boston Globe writer and all proceeds from the event will go towards setting up scholarships for aspiring reporters.
