Where's the Beef?

Yo Y'all,
been a while but i'm still here.
check this recent mash i just did.

Mos Def w/ Kanye West - "Beefus Walks" (by no.1)

It's a mix of Mos Def's "Beef" lyrics with Kanye's "Jesus Walks". The acappella was a clean version, thus the gaps in lyrics. I tried to bridge the gaps with some of my own creative beeping.

Last night i checked out the premier of 440r affiliate "The Area D Initiative" at Musk. It was one part lip-syncing, one part karaoke, one part interpretive dance, one part djing, one part spoken word, and one part performance art. Mr. D dares to do what most of us are only comfortable doing in the confines of our apartments when the roommates are away: play your favorite records and sing along to them at the top of your lungs. And when that instrumental breakdown comes along, you bust out some of your own original lyrics as if you were actually in the group at the studio helping them pen the next hit. Bouncing from a bossanova cover of the Doors' "Light My Fire" to Time Zone's "World Destruction" Area D displayed devastating diversity in musical taste and talent. Ladies and gents, next time Area D is performing, I say take the initiative, get off your seat, and get involved.
